Speakers Hive offers two structured, self-paced learning tracks for members to develop their communication and leadership skills - Speech Mastery and Leadership Mastery. 

Speech Mastery and Leadership Mastery tracks have four progressive stages of mastering the skills - Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Professional. The Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced stages comprise of two levels each (Level 1 and Level 2). After completing each level, the member earns a certificate recognising their accomplishment. Speech Mastery Professional and Leadership Mastery Professional certifications represent the highest recognitions achieved by a member in Speakers Hive. 

Speech Mastery

Beginner 

Level 1 - Mastering the Fundamentals

This level focuses on mastering the foundations of speaking with confidence. Members learn to write a logically structured speech and enhance their message through intentional body language, physical presence, and voice modulation. 

To receive the Speech Mastery Beginner Level 1 Certification, the member must complete five speaking projects and the roles outlined in Mastering Teamwork module. Mastering Teamwork helps members to develop foundational communication and leadership skills needed to effectively work in a team. 

Level 2 – Purposeful Communication

Building on foundational skills, Level 2 shifts to speaking to achieve a specific purpose. Projects in this level enable the member to develop critical skills to either inform, persuade, or motivate the audience, integrating visual media seamlessly to enhance the overall message.

Intermediate and Advanced

At the Intermediate and Advanced stages, the member gets to customise their learning journey from a list of electives (each containing five projects). 

To receive the Speech Mastery Intermediate Certification, the member must successfully complete two distinct Electives (Elective 1 for the Level 1 credential and Elective 2 for the Level 2 credential).

To receive the Speech Mastery Advanced Certification, the member must successfully complete two additional distinct Electives (Elective 3 for the Level 1 credential and Elective 4 for the Level 2 credential).

Professional

At the professional level, the member has to conduct five workshops:

• Three workshops are conducted for the Speakers Hive audience 

• Two workshops are conducted for general audience outside Speakers Hive

Leadership Mastery

Beginner

Level 1 - Leading a team

Leadership Mastery Beginner Level 1 is a foundational level that provides hands-on experience in leading and managing deliverables from a team, in short sprints. The member develops basic leadership skills to plan, delegate, organize, coordinate and motivate team members to achieve common goals. A member develops these skills by leading and collaborating in a team that organizes a Hive Chapter meeting.  Each Speakers Hive meeting is organized by a Meeting Organizer, Promotions Manager, Recognitions Manager, and one or more Assistant Managers. To earn the Leadership Mastery Beginner - Level 1 certification, a member serves each of these roles several times till they gain confidence in leading a team. Additionally, the member must perform the roles outlined in Mastering Teamwork module. Mastering Teamwork helps members to develop foundational communication and leadership skills needed to effectively work in a team. 

Level 2 - Strategic Leadership

Leadership Mastery Beginner Level 2 is focused on building strategic leadership skills, by playing the role of a Hive Officer. The member develops leadership skills such as goal setting, building a team, delegating tasks, mentoring, tracking progress, resolving conflicts, motivating teams and driving high-performance. 

Every Speakers Hive Chapter is run by four hive officers - Chief Hive Officer, Learning & Development Manager, Members Success Manager and Hive Growth Manager. Together, the hive officers are responsible for driving the Hive Success Program. 

To earn the Leadership Mastery Beginner - Level 2 certification, 

• A member serves as a Hive Officer for 6 months 

• Organizes a special event or contest with a team of volunteers

Intermediate

Level 1 - Mentoring Peers

Leadership Mastery Intermediate Level 1 is a critical transition to people-first leadership, requiring the member to mentor peers. Mentoring builds essential coaching, emotional intelligence, and performance assessment skills. These skills are vital because the true measure of a leader is their ability to actively grow and multiply the talent around them. To earn the Leadership Mastery Intermediate - Level 1 certification, a member mentors three peers for 6 months.

Level 2 - Executing Strategic Initiatives

Leadership Mastery Intermediate Level 2 is focused on advancing the strategic leadership skills gained in the beginner stage, by driving strategic initiatives. To earn the Leadership Mastery Intermediate - Level 2 certification, a member,

• Serves as a Chief Hive Officer or Learning & Development Manager  for 6 months

• Champions a club growth campaign with a team of volunteers

Advanced

Level 1 - Executive Coaching

Leadership Mastery Advanced Level 1 is the ultimate test of strategic leadership, elevating the member to an Executive Coach for an entire hive chapter. The role demands expertise in moving beyond individual development to ensure the chapter's long-term health and sustainability. This proves the member's ability to lead leaders, mentor a management team, and drive large-scale, sustained organizational change. To earn the Leadership Mastery Advanced - Level 1 certification, a member mentors or coaches a Hive Chapter for 6 months.

Level 2 - Entrepreneurial Leadership

Leadership Mastery Advanced Level 2 requires true entrepreneurial leadership - the ability to establish a completely new Hive Chapter from conception to full operational launch. The member masters organizational design, market entry strategy, and team recruitment, proving their capacity to build high-performance systems and culture from the ground up. To earn the Leadership Mastery Advanced - Level 1 certification, a member starts a new Hive Chapter or revives an existing Hive Chapter.

Professional

This certification signifies the member's mastery of executive leadership in an organization, requiring them to manage the success and growth of multiple Hive Chapters. The member develops expertise in strategy, scaling operations, and cross-functional management, proving the ability to influence and mentor entire leadership structures. The member's focus shifts from the tactical to the strategic and organizational level, certifying their ability to drive community-wide success and impact. To earn the Leadership Mastery Professional certification, a member serves as an Executive Leader for Speakers Hive Community for a period of one year.
